This beautiful colonial-style villa is located near the exclusive neighbourhood of Son Vida, on the outskirts of Palma. This area is widely known for its extravagant and luxurious villas so it is no surprise that it is home to Romaní Villa. The villa was built in 1922 and was designed and influenced by Cuban Art Deco, which is seen most clearly in its central tower and stately architecture. Notably, the house was the residence of decorated General Jaime Garau de Montaner.
Romaní villa has large private grounds from where you can enjoy beautiful views of the majestic Tramuntana mountains. As the villa sits on a hillside you can also enjoy some of the best vistas over Palma from the garden terrace or from the poolside loungers. Romaní has a stunning lap pool to cool off on summer days, where music can even be played underwater.
The villa offers glamorous outdoor dining for up to 20 guests as well as an outdoor kitchen, a barbecue and a beautiful alfresco dining area under ancient olive trees. You can also enjoy a refreshing rinse in the outdoor shower. The interior is warm and welcoming and takes you back through the times with its architecture and classic decor.
The owners of this villa, who are both architects, refurbished the villa to incorporate antiques from other eras and also polished and perfected a well-thought-out theme. The living room incorporates both modern and classic decor in an original and innovative way and is a place you can relax in style on the iconic mid-century Elda lounger.
The villa has a total of eight suites and can accommodate up to 16 guests. The rooms are elegant and spacious and all eight bedrooms enjoy ensuite bathrooms with classic design. The exquisite master suite enjoys a private tower terrace which offers the best views of the Tramuntana sierra and surrounding areas. The house is finished off with a stunning modern kitchen which features state-of-the-art equipment and is beautifully designed to continue the theme of the villa. You can enjoy wonderful meals in the classic dining room which features classic decor and furnishing, or from the lovely outdoor alfresco dining area.
