Set at the foot of the Helderberg Mountains near Somerset West, Erinvale Golf Club is a championship layout designed by golfing legend Gary Player and opened in 1995. The course is beautifully integrated into the surrounding Winelands landscape, offering sweeping views of mountains, vineyards, and False Bay. Known for its immaculate conditioning, Erinvale features lush fairways, fast greens, and a visually striking setting that enhances the overall playing experience.

The layout is often described as a course of two distinct halves, with a flatter, parkland-style front nine contrasting the more undulating and demanding back nine set against the mountain slopes. Water hazards, strategic bunkering, and large, contoured greens require precision and thoughtful shot-making throughout the round. Signature holes—such as the challenging downhill par-4 17th, highlight the course’s ability to test golfers of all levels while delivering memorable scenery and variety from tee to green.
