Emirates Golf Club, renowned as the home of the Dubai Desert Classic, made history when it opened in 1988 as the Middle East’s first all-grass championship golf course. From the outset, it set a new benchmark for golf in the region, blending world-class design with a striking desert setting. Over the years, it has built a reputation not only as a premier tournament venue but also as a landmark destination for golfers worldwide.
Today, the club proudly offers 36 holes of exceptional golf, highlighted by two standout courses that rank among the finest in the city. The Majlis Course, measuring 7,185 yards with a par of 72, is the original championship layout and remains a true test of precision and strategy. Complementing it is the 7,328-yard, par 72 Faldo Course, formerly known as the Wadi Course, which has been thoughtfully redesigned to deliver a modern and challenging playing experience under both daylight and floodlights.
Both courses are skillfully integrated into the natural undulating desert landscape, creating a demanding yet visually stunning environment for players of all levels. Adding to its distinctive character, the club’s iconic clubhouse, designed in the form of traditional Bedouin tents, stands as one of the most recognizable and photographed structures in the region, symbolizing the seamless fusion of heritage, sport, and innovation.
