Perched high above the Costa Brava at around 300 meters elevation, Club Golf d’Aro - Mas Nou offers one of the most visually striking golfing settings in Catalonia. Set within the Les Gavarres Natural Park, the course delivers sweeping panoramic views that stretch from the Mediterranean Sea to the surrounding mountain ranges. Opened in 1990 and designed by Ramón Espinosa, it quickly gained recognition, including being named one of Europe’s best courses in the early 1990s, and remains a standout destination thanks to its combination of natural beauty, environmental commitment, and tranquil, elevated setting.

The 18-hole, par-72 championship layout is defined by its undulating terrain, elevation changes, and strategic variety. Routed through forests of pine, cork oak, and olive trees, the course incorporates water hazards and natural slopes that demand precise ball striking and thoughtful course management. Tee shots often require careful positioning to navigate elevation shifts, while approach play is tested by well-guarded greens and changing wind conditions at altitude. With its blend of mountain-style golf and parkland elements, Mas Nou rewards versatility and shot-making creativity, making it particularly appealing to experienced golfers seeking both a technical challenge and unforgettable scenery.
